Hyderabad, India, April 19, 2025: Sarvejana Foundation has launched major initiatives to prevent road accidents and unveiled its new logo at a grand program in Hyderabad. With the goal of making Hyderabad a safer city, the Foundation, under the leadership of eminent orthopedic surgeon and Chairman Dr. A.V. Gurava Reddy, is actively conducting road safety awareness campaigns and community outreach programs, while also providing free knee replacement surgeries to the needy.
Telangana DGP Dr. Jitender, who attended the event, appreciated the Foundation’s efforts and stressed the importance of following traffic rules to prevent accidents. He pointed out that Hyderabad has seen a 20% reduction in road accidents and emphasized the need for public cooperation with traffic regulations. Highlighting the development of 140 accident-free junctions and Hyderabad’s advanced traffic signaling system, he praised the Foundation’s role in public safety initiatives.
Former MP and actor Maganti Murali Mohan extended his support to the Foundation, sharing how he helped an accident victim with artificial limbs. Since its inception, Sarvejana Foundation has educated over 3.8 lakh students, provided medical services to 4,000 people, trained 4,200 in CPR, conducted programs in 1,117 schools, and carried out 120 free joint surgeries.
The Foundation also launched the “Stop Road Accident” app, inaugurated by badminton champion PV Sindhu, with monthly rewards for participants promoting traffic safety awareness. Logos for Sarvejana Foundation, Safe Rabad, and Happy Nice were unveiled by Varaprasad Reddy, M.M. Keeravani, and Murali Mohan respectively.
During the event held at the Engineering Staff College of India Auditorium, cash prizes were awarded to winners of the road safety contests, with 15 schools named Road Safety Champions and 13 schools receiving special awards.
